Naked in the street men fined

TWO Hamilton men were this week fined for walking naked in a town street.

The original breach of the peace charge stated that James Morrison (23) and Steven Morton (26) had also danced naked in Wellbrae Road on July 5 this year.

However, their guilty pleas to an amended charge, which made no mention of dancing naked in the street, was accepted by the Crown.

Both men had committed the offence while on bail on other matters.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, Sheriff Frank Pieri fined Morrison, of 12 Burnhouse Crescent, £270 and fined Morton, of Kinneil House, The Furlongs, £230 for the offence.
