POLICE were this week appealing for witnesses after a man was dragged from his house and beaten up.
The incident took place at about 4.15pm on June 27 outside a house in Golf Avenue, Bellshill. It is believed four men were involved in the attack.
A 41-year-old man was inside the house when he heard people at the rear of his property.
When he went to his back door, he was dragged from the house and struck on the head with wooden logs. During the assault, one man jumped on his head.
The victim lost consciousness and when he woke he was in his back garden. He later contacted police.
The man suffered cuts and bruises to his head but did not require further medical treatment.
One of the suspects was described as aged between 19 and 21, with blond hair. He was wearing a black shirt and trousers.
The second suspect was described as aged between 35 and 39 years with dark brown hair. He was wearing a Celtic football top.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated matter, a 16-year-old girl was involved in a hit-and-run incident in Bellshill.
The teenager was struck by a car in Crofthead Crescent at about 3.30pm on Thursday, June 25. The driver did not stop. The girl was taken to hospital and treated for a fracture to her right foot.
