Husband pleads innocent

A HAMILTON man denied threatening to strike his wife with a bottle.

Peter Drummond (30), of Hill Street, pleaded not guilty last week to breach of the peace by conducting himself in a disorderly manner, shouting, swearing and threatening to strike Vicki Drummond with a bottle on May 10.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court last Friday, Sheriff David Bicket set the trial date for October 5 and granted Drummond bail.
