Bottle-wielding yob is fined by Sheriff

A HAMILTON man was last week fined £270 for causing a disturbance in a town street in which he brandished a bottle.

William Hilston (18), of Neilsland Road, had pleaded guilty to a breach of the peace while on bail on another matter.

He shouted, swore, uttered threats of violence, brandished the bottle and caused alarm and annoyance in Balmore Road on October 4 last year.

The fine was imposed by Sheriff Frank Pieri at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
