Woman (31) embezzled £1500 from employers

A HAMILTON woman embezzled more than £1500 from her employers. Ashley Hood (31), of Woodhead Green, admitted taking £1556.55 from Greenwood Personal Credit in Cadzow Street, Hamilton, while working as an agent with the company.

The offence took place between March 15 and April 3, 2006. She had originally been charged with taking £2056.55 in cash, but pleaded guilty to an amended charge.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court last week, Sheriff Danny Scullion deferred sentence on Hood until May 15 for a community service report and supplementary social enquiry report. Bail was continued.
