Two post offices are hoping to deliver major award to district

TWO Post Offices in North Lanarkshire are hoping they will be able to deliver a top award to the area.

For Brandon Post Office in Motherwell and Netherton Post Office in Wishaw have been shortlisted for the prestigious Best Post Office in Scotland category in the 2009 People’s Post Office Awards, it has been revealed this week.

Delighted customers have voted both premises to be amongst the best in the region because of the exceptional service they have enjoyed there.

Nominations have come in from customers who have been pleased with the wide range of services provided, which they can trust and rely on, combined with an understanding of individual customer needs and requirements.

Paula Vennells, network director for Post Office Ltd, said that the awards are a great feedback on the level of service being provided by Post Officers in their respective areas.

He added: “These awards are a great opportunity for our customers to tell us which branches are the very best in the region.

“Whether people visit Brandon or Netherton Post Office to pay their bills or pick up their travel money, we’re delighted that they feel these teams should be recognised for their hard work and excellent customer service.”

The winner of the award for Best Post Office in Scotland will be announced at the end of this month.

The winner will then go through to the national final on May 21 where the overall winner will be announced.
