THE University of the West of Scotland are offering a variety of exciting part-time study options which will get under way in February.
The university's part-time provision offers access to a wide range of study areas including business; engineering and science; computing and IT; languages; creative industries and social sciences.
The part-time modules can be taken on a stand alone basis to enable students to sample a new subject or pick up a new skill, or they can be combined to work towards a university award up to post-graduate level.
Under the university's 'Winning Women' and 'Motivated Men' initiatives, new first-time students may be eligible for free part-time study of one undergraduate module from across the university's provision.
These initiatives are designed to enable students to get a taster of study at university level and an introduction to higher education.
Under a new Scottish Government initiative, UWS now have discretionary funds to allocate to part-time students for travel, learning materials - such as books and IT equipment - and childcare.
Further information on the university's part-time options is available from University Direct, the University's freephone information service, on 0800 027 1000 or by emailing lifelonglearning@paisley.ac.uk
