SOUTH Lanarkshire’s Young at Heart Festival kicks off again this year to celebrate the arts for the over-50s.
After the overwhelming success of the event over the past three years, the authority are extending an invitation to everyone who is young at heart to go along and enjoy the festival's fourth year.
There are a fantastic range of events running at a variety of venues throughout South Lanarkshire from Sunday, March 22, until Sunday, March 29.
This year sees the return of many of the most popular ones such as the free, two o'clock recitals many have enjoyed in the past, the craft fair, exhibitions, film screening, author visits and tea dances as well as a range of new courses and workshops including the chance to access the new ceramics studio at Hamilton Town House.
The Flyright Dance Company will also be back and putting participants through their paces ready for next year's Strictly Come Dancing.
If you are 50-plus, young at heart and interested in the arts then this festival is for you and the authority are confident that you'll find something in the unique programme which appeals.
Places are limited for most events so advance booking is advisable.
Individual and group bookings are welcomed.
