Charity boost for surgery

A HAMILTON-based surgery has been presented with a special piece of equipment from contractors Mechanical Plant Engineers (CMPE).

Nicola Mulhearn, a GP with Dr Young’s ‘The Surgery’, 1 Douglas Street, received a syringe driver from John Longmuir, chairman of CMPE.

CMPE was founded in 1957, and members of the organisation have a common interest in all aspects of construction plant.

Each year the chairman has a sum of money to use or donate to a charity of his choice.

Mr Longmuir is pictured handing over the syringe driver to Dr Mulhearn. Looking on are Brenda Govers, assistant practice manager, Dr Morrison Young, district nurse team leader Moira Thornton, and staff nurse Sharon Harte.
