Town House workshop focuses on digital music

A DIGITAL music workshop will run for 10 weeks in Hamilton Town House.

The course will teach people how to generate an ambient electronic sound by manipulating and arranging sounds gathered during field recordings.

Those on the course will also learn how to use digital audio equipment.

The workshop, led by Generation X Musician in Residence, Brian Docherty, may require some outside work as people collect and record sounds in the local area.

No experience is necessary for this exciting course - just enthusiasm for creating new sounds.

This 10-week course will be held in Hamilton Town House on Thursdays, beginning on January 22 and running until March 26, 2009.
