HAMILTON Probus Club on Wednesday, November 19, welcomed guest speaker the Reverend Norman McKee to the club.
The Minister at Uddingston Old Parish Church spoke about his Experiences of Ministry.
Throughout his talk, Mr McKee spoke about the various tasks of ministry beginning from the call to the profession and embracing the pastoral and public aspects of the work involved.
He explained the demands that his role has and indicated changes that had taken place over the years.
He spoke about the prioritising that is necessary to embrace what is required of a minster and the necessity, so far as one is able, to have requisite time off.
He stressed the importance of pastoral ministry emphasising the ways in which it can inform the conduct of worship.
Iain Kerr gave the vote of thanks and members indicated their appreciation of Mr McKee’s visit.
The Probus Ladies annual lunch was held yesterday (Wednesday) at Hamilton Ice rink.
