Blizzard warning for Lanarkshire

LANARKSHIRE could be set for a snow storm tonight, according to a warning from the Met Office.

The county could be eight inches deep in snow tomorrow morning (Thursday), with the possibility of blizzard conditions, drifting and between 10cm and 20cm of snow above 150m.

The Met Office also said there is 60% risk the rest of the country will be affected, with the worst happening in the West.

Engineers are on stand by for power companies in case of any problems.
