Stole copper boiler from old school

A MAN who stole a copper boiler from the old Earnock High School building in Hamilton has been fined £300.

Kevin Bonnini (22), of Gartloch Road, Garthamlock, Glasgow, entered the Wellhall Road building on February 21 this year and stole the item while on bail for another matter.

The fine was imposed by Sheriff Shiona Waldron at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week.

The old Earnock High School building is currently being demolished as part of a development by Barratt Homes.

The school closed last year and its pupils transferred to Blantyre’s Calderside Academy.
