STAFF at KFC in Hamilton were on the ball when they helped raise £900 for the World Food Programme after taking part in a five-a-side football tournament.
They raised the money during World Hunger Relief Week from October 13 to October 19.
As well as the five-a-side tournament held at the Powerleague in Hamilton’s Bothwell Road, there were also football themed scratch cards and a raffle, as well as a crossbar challenge.
World Hunger Relief Week aims to raise funds and increase awareness of hunger and the global food crisis as an issue.
Last year’s campaign raised £360,000 in the UK and this cash helped provide food for more than 86 million people in 80 countries worldwide.
