LANARK and Hamilton East Conservative and Unionist Association have selected Colin McGavigan as their prospective parliamentary candidate for the Westminster elections.
Mr McGavigan (43) was born and brought up in Lanarkshire and has lived in Leadhills for more than 18 years, where he has served as chairman of the community council.
Mr McGavigan said this week: “I am very pleased to have been selected as the Conservative candidate for the Lanark and Hamilton East constituency and I look forward to meeting the constituents and working with Margaret Mitchell MSP and the four L&HE Conservative South Lanarkshire councillors in the run-up to the next Westminster Election, whenever that may be.”
