Police hunt gang of hooded yobs after schoolboys robbed

A GANG of hooded yobs were this week being hunted after three schoolboys were threatened with violence and robbed of their mobile phones and cash at football pitches in Hamilton.

Five youths launched the attack on the boys aged 14 to 15 at the playing fields at the back of the Esporta at the Palace Grounds.

The youngsters’ terrifying ordeal began when they were approached by the group on Friday, October 3, at 6pm.

The gang were described as wearing distinctive black and green camouflaged hooded tops with goggle-type masks attached.

One of the suspects is described a having tanned skin with freckles, green/blue eyes.

He was wearing a white hooded top with a red logo badge on the front.

Another group member was described as having a tanned face, heavy, with short light brown hair.

A police spokeswoman said: “The suspects were seen heading off in the direction of Strathclyde Country Park.
