Man is fined for assault

A HAMILTON man who grabbed a woman’s hair and pulled her to the ground in a convenience store has been fined.

David Christie (35), of Albert Terrace, admitted assaulting Marie Kelly McDonald at Sanders General Store in Hamilton’s Margaret Road on September 6.

Christie also admitted committing a breach of the peace at the store on the same day by shouting and swearing.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court last week, Sheriff Rae Small fined Christie £200.
