Man in court on serious assault charge

A MAN appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court yesterday (Wednesday) in connection with an alleged attack on a man outside a Hamilton pub.

James Steele (36), of Alness Street, Hamilton, denied a charge of assault to severe injury. He was bailed on condition that he does not attempt to approach or contact the alleged victim.

A 48-year-old man sustained serious facial injuries following an incident outside the Auld Hoose in Low Waters Road on August 3.
