Brave Heart op boy starts school

Nathan Lawrie was able to start school with his friends just a month undergoing open-heart surgery.
Nathan who was born with cyanotic heart disease has undergone three operations with the most serious one being carried out in July at Yorkhill.
To thank staff at Yorkhill hospital, Nathan’s family have raised a whopping £10,550 over three years through sponsored bowling tournaments.
His parents, Derek and Hazel were delighted Nathan was able to start school this term and say “He is now just like any other five-year-old.”
