Hamilton man denies drugs charges

A HAMILTON man last week denied charges of dealing heroin.

Scott Wilson (39), of Backmuir Road, pleaded not guilty to possessing heroin with intent to supply and supplying the Class A drug in Backmuir Road and Dryden Street on July 12 this year.

He further pleaded not guilty to intentionally obstructing police officers by throwing a bag of suspected drugs to the ground.

The 39-year-old also denied charges covering the possession of cannabis, cannabis resin and ecstasy. These offences all allegedly took place at his home.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court last week, Sheriff Joyce Powrie set Wilson’s trial for October 23 and granted bail meantime.
