Courses set to take the mystery out of computing

A NEW session of computing courses started at Hamilton Town House Library this week.

The ‘first course, Internet for the Terrified’ is held on Tuesdays from 9.30am-12.30pm.

The second course is entitled ‘Computing for the Terrified’ and runs from 1-4pm.

Due to the large demand, the same classes will be held at Hillhouse Library from next Monday.

‘Computing for the Terrified’ runs from 9.30am-12.30pm, while ‘Internet for the Terrified’ is held from 1-4pm.

Each course comprises four, three-hour classes.

The fee is £30, which includes a colour manual to accompany the class.

The computing course is specifically designed for anyone who has little or no experience of using a computer. It covers basic aspects from using the keyboard and mouse to word processing and creating, saving and printing.

Internet classes introduce students to the world-wide web and how to use search engines.

Anyone interested in joining a course can register at Hamilton Town House or Hillhouse libraries.
