Youngsters from Estonia and Finland welcomed at civic reception

A GROUP of 20 youngsters from Estonia and Finland attended a civic reception at South Lanarkshire Council as part of a Youth Exchange program.

The reception, held at council headquarters in July, was hosted by South Lanarkshire Provost Russell Clearie.

The youngsters’ visit to Scotland was organised by the council’s Youth Learning Services to allow young people from South Lanarkshire to meet up and communicate with peer groups from other countries.

The program also gave youngsters the opportunity to learn more about each others’ culture, ways of life and language.
