THE Manse in Quarter will host its annual garden party this Saturday.
The event will start at 2.30pm, and will raise funds for a Shelter for AIDS orphans in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, called Place of Restoration.
Special guests in attendance will be Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire Gilbert Cox, South Lanarkshire Provost Russell Clearie and his wife, councillor Pam Clearie.
The Lord Lieutenant will open the proceedings at 2.30pm and the Provost will bring greetings from the council and speak a word of encouragement about the Shelter to the guests.
There is, as always, a varied programme of entertainment for the day with the Bellshill and District Concert Brass, Hamilton South Pipe Band and David Black and Kate Strachan, both professional entertainers in their own right.
There will also be a special item by a group of South African ministers and their wives.
