Nominations wanted for Scottish Health Awards

THE people of Lanarkshire are being urged to nominate unsung health workers for this year’s Scottish Health Awards.

The accolades aim to find and celebrate healthcare heroes who make a positive contribution to people’s lives and NHS Scotland.

This year’s categories will include staff from all aspects of NHS Scotland and will cover a range of healthcare settings such as hospitals, dental practices, health centres and community care.

The awards seek to acclaim the commitment of loyal staff from every area of healthcare, from therapists and GPs to specialist carers, managers and volunteers.

Health Minister Shona Robison said: “Many of us will know someone special who works tirelessly to help people in Scotland, and I would encourage people to take the chance to nominate that person for an award.”

To nominate, visit www.scottishhealthawards.com; all entries must be received by September 8.
