Hamilton Town Square barrel race

THE TUTTI Tuscan Grille is organising a barrel race across Hamilton Town Square.

The Italian restaurant is hoping to raise funds for St Andrew's Hospice.

Rob Peeley, Managing Director of Tutti and the project’s organiser said: “In Montepulciano it is tradition to run fresh barrels of wine across the town square to celebrate the new vintage. We thought why not bring a touch of Italy to Hamilton.”

Each team will consist of four members who will run a length of the square whilst rolling the barrel, then passing it onto their team mate until all four have finished the race.

The winner will receive a Tutti Challenge trophy and free pizza for a year.
