SOUTH Lanarkshire’s 17th annual classic car show will be held at Chatelherault Country Park in Hamilton on Sunday, August 17.
As well as showcasing some of the best classic and custom cars around, Classic Car Auto Rally (CCAR) will also feature live music and motorcycle stunt displays.
A group of display pilots will also be performing a variety of daring stunts in classic biplanes at 3.30pm.
The programme of events starts at 11am with musical entertainment from Radio L107, followed by live music from Audio 81.
Top stuntman Jez Avery will be performing on his mountain bike at noon, and on a motorcycle at 2.30pm.
Throughout the day there will also be entertainment from ceilidh band Shy Bairn.
The exhibitors present on the day will be able to share their classic car experiences, and youngsters can take a spin on mini quad bikes.
Councillor Gerry Convery, chair of the council’s Community Resource Committee said: “Lanarkshire has a rich transport heritage and CCAR has grown year on year to become one of Scotland’s largest and most popular transport festivals.
“The reason is easy to see, there really is something for everyone.”
The event takes places from 11am until 4pm, and admission is free. Car parking costs £4.
