IN a court story in last week’s Advertiser, it was stated that a motorist injured in an incident involving a tanker on the A72, near Larkhall, had suffered extensive back injuries.
However, we would like to point out that Louise Nelson had suffered extensive brain injuries in the accident on December 2, 2007.
The accused, HGV driver James Stewart, of Kirkmuirhill, admitted a charge of driving carelessly and without due care and attention at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
He was fined £500 and had his licence endorsed with eight penalty points.
