Call to take part in arts competition

AILEEN Campbell, MSP for the South of Scotland, has called on residents to compete in the Placebook Scotland landscape arts event.

The event encourages people in Scotland to submit images, poetry and music, representing their experiences of distinct Scottish landscapes, on a new web-based resource.

Ms Campbell said: “Clydesdale is surrounded by beautiful scenery which represents some of Scotland's industrial and agricultural heritage.

“The entrants will have no shortage of inspiration to draw from."
