Writers' Group celebrates 10th anniversary

Still got the write stuff after 10 years

HAMILTON-based Hieton Writers’ Group celebrated their 10th anniversary as they performed their summer solstice at Chatelherault Country Park last Friday.

The 15-member group were initially welcomed by vice-chair Nance McDonald.

Tom Bryan, the Lanarkshire Writer in Residence, also said a few words.

A musical performance in clarinet and piano was performed by Ebony Duo during the event, which was attended by councillor John Murray, and a vote of thanks was given by Councillor Mary Smith, chair of education resources.
