A HAMILTON woman is accused of threatening to stab a man in a town Co-op store with a potato peeler.
Wendy McGill (21), of no fixed abode, pleaded not guilty this week to carrying out the assault at the Co-op in the Burnbank Centre on June 8.
She also denied a charge of stealing a number of packets of meat at the store on the same date.
McGill further pleaded not guilty to lashing out at constables Cenydd Smith and Lorna Jack with her arms and attempting to resist arrest at Burnbank Gardens on June 13.
All of the alleged offences were said to have taken place when McGill was on bail on other matters.
At Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, Sheriff Marie Smart set the trial date for July 17.
Bail was refused and McGill was detained in custody meantime.
