THE NATIONAL Lottery is putting out an appeal for the lucky Lanarkshire winner of £116,806 to come forward and claim their prize.
It has been revealed that the winning ticket was purchased in the Hamilton or East Kilbride area. It matched five numbers plus the bonus ball in the Lotto Draw which was held on Saturday, April 5.
Organisers say the winning Lotto numbers on that date were 7, 23, 30, 41, 45, 49, and the bonus ball was 2.
Time is running out for the ticket-holder who has until Thursday, October 2, to come forward and make their claim.
If nobody comes forward with the winning ticket before that deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated from the time the draw was made, will go to the Good Causes fund – adding to the £21billion already raised through sales of lottery tickets since the National Lottery launched in November 1994.
A National Lottery Spokesperson said: “We are desperate to find this missing ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings.
“They have 15 weeks to search everywhere that a missing lottery ticket could be hiding.
“We have the champagne on ice, as well as our fingers crossed, that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their prize.”
Anyone concerned about lost or unchecked tickets could consider either setting up a National Lottery Subscription, play online at www.national-lottery.co.uk, on their mobile or by using the Sky Active service on digital TV.
Numbers can be entered in advance and winners are notified online if their numbers come up.
With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their winnings if they have the winning ticket.
Winners with tickets should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
