Whitehill summer fun day

Dancing all the way to the bank

THE Whitehill Summer Fun Day organised last weekend by sisters Lee Morgan and Lisa Archibald who run Reflex Dance School, was a huge success.

The event which took place at the Whitehill Neighbourhood Centre on Saturday, June 14, hosted a variety of fun activities for children of all ages.

Some of the events included a Whitehill’s Got Talent show, bouncy castles, tombola, beat-the-goalie competition and races with prizes and medals.

Dancing Princess Zoe McIntyre (5), from Backmuir Crescent, was crowned at the event by Lyndsay Provan of ‘Ya Beauty’ hair and beauty salon, who also styled Zoe’s hair and did her make-up for the occasion.

By hosting the Fun Day, Reflex Dance School raised hundreds of pounds which will be used to fund the cost for their annual show which is due to take place next month in the East Kilbride Village Theatre.

The rest of the money will be used to fund future outings for the pupils of the dance school.

Lee and Lisa said: “We would like to thank everyone for supporting and attending the fun day.

“Thanks also to our own parents and the parents of the pupils who attend the school, who gave up their time to run stalls and help out during the day.”

A special thank you also goes to May Mackie and family who catered at the event, Well-man Cars and George Pate for their generous donations to the dance school.
