BT’s charity boost

QUARTER in Bloom is one of 25 charities in Scotland to receive a cash boost from BT Community Champions this week.

The scheme supports and rewards the voluntary work of BT employees by distributing funds to the charity or community groups of which they are members.

Quarter in Bloom received £265 after Liz Anderson, who volunteers with the group and works for BT Exact, applied to become a community champion.

Beth Courtier, BT’s head of charity programmes, said: “At BT, we are proud of the many BT volunteers who really do make a difference to their local communities.

“Our BT Community Champions contribute directly to their neighbourhoods to strengthen them and their dedication is immense.

“We are delighted to support their volunteering efforts. These awards are just one way of showing how much we value our employees who actively volunteer.”
