Elaine is a cut above the rest with charity run

ELAINE Compton, the owner of Elaine Compton Hair Design, in Hamilton’s Muir Street, recently presented a cheque to The Haven after she successfully completed a 10km run in Glasgow.

Elaine managed to raise £713 for the Blantyre-based charity for people affected by life-limiting illness.

Connie Postlethwaite, fund-raiser for The Haven, received a cheque for the amount from Elaine.

She said: “Everyone at The Haven congratulates Elaine on her great achievement.

“The money that Elaine has raised will enable The Haven to support even more families in the community who turn to The Haven for support in a difficult time in their lives.”
