Child safety warning

WITH summer holidays fast approaching, children are being reminded not to play on building sites.

With the advent of National Child Safety Week (June 23-29), builders Redrow’s health and safety mascot Buster the Bear will be visiting primary schools throughout the area in a bid to educate children on the dangers in a fun, yet informative, way.

He even has his own colourful website at: www.education.redrow.co.uk/meetbuster, providing safety tips, puzzles, jokes and a colouring poster.

Bob Sayers, health and safety director for Redrow, said: “Building sites are not a playground; they are potentially dangerous places with equipment, materials and traffic that could all cause serious harm if not treated with respect.

“Our ‘Buster the Bear’ education programme is designed to help teachers and parents keep their children safe.”
