Lanarkshire Dog walkers raise £5700

THE Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals raised an amazing £5700 with this year’s sponsored dog walk at Strathclyde Park — and possibly more when all sponsorship money comes in.

A large crowd of supporters turned out, accompanied by their canine friends, to take a stroll round the loch for a good cause.

SSPCA branch secretary and treasurer, Betty Easton, said: “We would like to say a very big thank-you to all who gave up their time to collect sponsorship then walk round the loch. We are already looking forward to next year!”
