Jacqui wins our great cash prize

A MUM is the latest winner in our May £10,000 Cash Giveaway.

Jacqui Ross (45), of Park Street, Lanark, sent her winning entry by text last week — and scooped £2500. Over 490 readers tried to win the big cash prize.

Jacqui broke the news of her win to her husband Billy (53), son Billy (17) and her 14-year-old daughter Heather.

A jubiliant Jacqui said: “It wasn’t until I called my husband, who was on his way home from Grangemouth, that I got really excited.”

Jacqui, a branch liaison for HSBC in Hamilton, plans to spend the cash replacing the roof fascias on her home.

She added: “My son Billy will be 18 on June 18 and, although he doesn’t want a party, I will get him a special birthday surprise too.”

Jacqui received her £2500 prize on Wednesday morning. Last week’s question was: In the last 20 years, house prices in Lanarkshire have? Jacqui answered correctly, increased.
