Hamilton Tenants facing increase in rents

TENANTS of Trust Housing Association in Hamilton have been hit by a 3.9 per cent rents increase.

The association’s properties include Millar Park in Hamilton’s Wellhall Road.

The development in the town combines sheltered and “very sheltered” accommodation.

The latest rise in rents imposed by the Trust follows a 3.6 per cent increase last financial year.

The Trust say other housing associations in Scotland have for 2008-09 set rises of five per cent or above.
