MEMBERS of the Freetime Children’s Club have enjoyed a number of events in recent weeks.
During the spring break the children enjoyed swimming at the Aquatec in Motherwell, together with a tour on the Glasgow sightseeing bus and a visit to the Scottish Museum of Rural Life in East Kilbride.
The group are now getting ready for a welly waddle to raise awareness and vital funds for the Scottish Cot Death Trust.
The inaugural event will take place on Friday, May 23, at 10.30am at Strathclyde Country Park.
Organiser Heather Lindsay said: “We were inspired to organise a welly waddle because it’s such a worthy and important cause and because it’s good fun for the children. They really love getting their wellies on and going out for a quick splash in the puddles. So now they can do it and raise funds for the Scottish Cot Death Trust at the same time.”
Today the children will also attend the North Lanarkshire Flower Festival.
