August date set for trial of Larkhall man

A MAN this week denied carrying out an assault on a woman at a Hamilton Nursing Home.

Craig Johnstone (21) of Millburn Cottage, Larkhall, pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

It alleges that Johnstone, on April 27, struck Natalie Moffat at Abercorn Nursing Home, Low Waters Road, on the face to her injury.

Sheriff Danny Scullion set the trial for August 7.

He granted Johnstone bail on the condition that he did not approach or contact, or attempt to approach or contact Natalie Moffat.
