Primary school choirs ready for Lanarkshire festival

THE eighth Lanarkshire Schools' Choir Festival to be organised by Supercounty will feature six primary school choirs from North Lanarkshire and six from South Lanarkshire in Motherwell Concert Hall on Wednesday, May 21.

Choirs representing South Lanarkshire will be St Mark’s and Glenlee (Hamilton), St Patrick’s (Strathaven), Law, and St Leonard’s and Blacklaw (East Kilbride).

Representing North Lanarkshire will be St Bernadette’s, St Brendan’s and Muirhouse (all Motherwell), Christ the King, (Holytown), Holy Family, (Mossend) and St Teresa’s (Newarthill).

The choir festival will again be compered by comedian and TV personality Andy Cameron and co-sponsored by BOC.

Tickets for the event, which has always attracted a full house, are available from the schools.
