HAMILTON runners are being urged to sign up for the ‘diet Coke’ East Kilbride Half Marathon and 10k Fun Run.
There are only six weeks to go until the races take place, so runners planning on signing up should put in their entries as soon as possible.
Runners can log on to the website to take advantage of the top tips from running coach Alan Derrick who has devised a six-week training plan for race entrants.
Alan’s tips will put beginners’ minds at rest and get their feet moving.
Experienced runners can also benefit from Alan’s expertise and training advice.
Hamilton runners can find further details and an application form on the official race website: www.ekhalfmarathon.co.uk — or from the race hotline on 01698 476118.
Participants are urged to apply now to avoid disappointment as the race has a history of selling out.
This year’s official charity is St Andrew’s Hospice, a holistic palliative care charity.
The charity will receive £1 from every participant’s entry fee. The half marathon and fun run are a partnership between CCE, South Lanarkshire Leisure, South Lanarkshire Council, East Kilbride Athletics Club and local athletes.
