A GROUP of 24 Hamilton College youngsters donned their ski boots, goggles and gloves and headed to the Pentland Hills in Edinburgh.
Youngsters from the college’s ski club travelled to the Midlothian Snowsports Centre at Hillend, Europe’s longest and most challenging artifical ski-slope, from March to April.
The pupils, aged 12-14, conquered their initial fear on first glimpsing the hills’ height and steepness.
Twelve students received the beginners level certificate, while another 12 received the intermediate level.
Teachers Barbara Donaldson and Mark Shields were delighted with the students’ enthusiasm and achievement.
