A FOUR-FOOT lantern-style decorative lamp post was stolen from a garden in Milton Street, Motherwell, between 10.30pm on Thursday, April 24, and 7.45am the following day.

The lamp post, which was green and black, was unscrewed from its base to enable it to be stolen.

A SILVER BMW 730D SE saloon was stolen from a car park opposite the Newhouse Travel Inn, Edinburgh Road, Newhouse, between 2pm on Wednesday, April 23, and 1pm the following day.

The car contained a set of Callaway Golf Clubs.
