Deafblind group charity challenge

JUST try it. That’s the message to the people of Lanarkshire from Deafblind Scotland.

For the charity are hosting a new fund-raiser at Strathclyde Park this Sunday at 1.30pm.

The day offers a unique challenge for people to experience the world as a deafblind person for an hour or two by donning blindfolds and earmuffs and undertaking a 10k walk with a guide dog.

The aim is to raise money and awareness to help support the charity’s vital work with deafblind adults.

Walkers will need to identify a trustworthy guide, complete an application form, and return it to Deafblind Scotland with their entry fee of £20.

For more information or an application form to take part, call Deafblind on 0141 777 6111.
