A POLICEMAN from Larkhall, who is set to retire, is training for a gruelling motorbike trek across the Himalayas to raise money for charity.

Ronnie Buchanan (58), who is leaving the force in June after 30 years service, is getting fit for a 500cc motorbike challenge across the Himalayas to raise £5000 for St Andrew’s Hospice and The Samantha Dickinson Brain Tumour Trust.

The challenge begins on June 16.

This week, Ronnie said: “I needed to be fit for the challenge and I wasn’t.

“So I went to Alan Strachan and the groundbreaking diet and fitness techniques worked wonders over the past 12 weeks.

“I’ve done the hard work and he’s been the brains and motivation and I am now in a better place to tackle anything the Himalayas can throw at me.”

People can watch Alan training Ronnie on the website www.aszurra.com

Alan Strachan is training Ronnie with an American technique.

It can give people the body they have always wanted with his expertise and equipment.

And people do not have to be crossing the Himalyas to take-on Alan’s programme that gives the shape they have always dreamed of.

Providing people stick to the programme, Alan guarantees that they will see results within weeks.

Alan is available for personal training at his new premises at 55 Clydesdale Street, Hamilton, and has put together optional packages to suit everyone’s needs and budgets.

With 13 years’ experience, he pledges to change your appearance.

He said: “Since last year, 240 delighted people have completed a ‘Body for Life’ programme, and the end results were astounding.”

One of Alan’s gym team, Jennifer Almiento, is expertly trained in the fitness of the female physique, either gym-based or in outdoor-style cardiovascular training.

So, whatever your needs, let Alan, and Jennifer help you get that ‘Body for Life’, just like Ronnie.
