Hamilton embroiderers to celebrate anniversary

THE Hamilton branch of the Embroiderers Guild are to mark their 25th anniversary with an exhibition in Bothwell Old Parish Church from Wednesday, April 23, to Friday, May 2.

THE Hamilton branch of the Embroiderers Guild are to mark their 25th anniversary with an exhibition in Bothwell Old Parish Church from Wednesday, April 23, to Friday, May 2.

Since it was founded, the guild has been involved in many community projects.

Last year, they helped St Elizabeth’s Primary design and create a banner for their new buildings while Ferniegair and Bothwell banners were also created with help from the guild.

There is also an active young embroiderers’ group.

The exhibition will be open at the church in Main Street from 10.30am till 4pm, Monday to Saturday. Late night opening is from 6pm till 9pm on Thursday, and from 1pm till 4pm on Sunday.
