St Elizabeth's pupils mark world book day

St Elizabeth's pupils celebrate world book day

PUPILS from St Elizabeth’s Primary marked the 11th World Book Day when they were given either a book or token to encourage reading.

To continue the reading awareness, pupils came to school dressed as book characters and then joined with other classes for ‘Tell Tale Buddies’, where pupils read to each other and listened to each other’s choice of book.

Staff feel the initiative went so well in encouraging reading that it has been made a regular feature.
