HAMILTON Ramblers travelled to Loch Earn for their outing last Sunday.
Two walks were available. The shorter route started at Woodhouse on the A85 and immediately ascended a steep track into Glen Tarken.
At the head of the glen the track swung round and down into Tarken Woods to the hydro-electric power station near St Fillans.
A longer walk started at Comrie and made its way through Laggan Woods, past the Deil’s Couldron waterfall and up to the monument which offered commanding views of Loch Earn. The walk then proceeded though Glen Boltachan, eventually descending to pick up the track and the short walk back to St Fillans power station.
The next club outing is to Lochore Meadows Country Park, Fife, on Sunday, April 20, when two walks will be available. Anyone interested in booking a seat or in finding out more about the club, should phone 01698 207814.
