THE great British brew will be the centre of attention in Bellshill and Wishaw next week when tea-loving residents at two Bupa care homes raise their mugs to help mark Communi-tea Week.
Part of a nationwide campaign, Communi-tea Week April 7 to 13 uses the theme to tackle isolation and loneliness in older people.
The Bupa care homes are taking the lead by hosting a tea dance and a 1950s tea party. Hatton Lea Nursing Home, Bellshill, will host an afternoon tea with bingo and entertainment on Thursday, April 10, at 1.45pm for bingo, entertainment starts at 4pm. Kirknowe Nursing Home, Wishaw, will host a tea dance on Wednesday, April 9, 2.15 to 4.15pm.
